Kelly McIlhargey is an experienced legal assistant with a strong background in Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Medicaid planning. Kelly also has many years of experience in customer service, from which she brings the remarkable ability to hold our clients’ hands through what is often a difficult time, while we guide them through the legal process.
Before joining SSR Law Office, Kelly McIlhargey worked with Attorney Farrah Ramdayal at another local law firm. Prior to working in the legal field, Kelly volunteered and then worked for the MCCSA Meals on Wheels/Senior Nutrition program. As a volunteer, Kelly delivered meals to homebound senior citizens. She then worked as a supervisor of one of the local Dining Senior Style sites where she developed relationships with the senior citizens who attended the program as well as with the many program volunteers.
Kelly McIlhargey is a lifelong resident of Macomb County and attended L’Anse Creuse Public Schools. Upon discovering her appreciation for Elder Law, she decided to pursue her paralegal degree at Macomb Community College, which she will be continuing in the fall.
On a more personal note, Kelly enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and beloved dog Biscuit. Kelly is an enthusiastic member of the Detroit Zoological Society and makes frequent weekend visits to the Detroit Zoo with her young nephew, Connor. They are both looking forward to the opening of the new Polk Penguin Conservation Center later this year as the penguin habitat is one of their favorite exhibits. In her spare time, Kelly also enjoys reading a good book, going on outings with her nephew, and watching hockey, which is her family pastime.
